Mark Thomas
Mark Thomas is an artist and writer living in St. Catharines Canada. He is a retired English and Philosophy teacher and ex-member of Canada's national rowing team. He is the author of three books: Next to Ewe (published by Between the Lines), Searching for Martian Slutfest IV (published by close2thebone), and A Robot, a Ghost and an Alien Walk into a Bar (published by Scimitar Edge). A sci fi novella, The Enclave, will be released by Wolfsinger Press in 2025.
Mark has been shortlisted 3 times for a Crime Writers of Canada Award and longlisted once. He received honorable mention in the Omega International science fiction writing contest. He's won a couple of prizes for art and poetry, but (so far) hasn't fooled anyone important. His short work has appeared in The Four Faced Liar Literary Magazine, The Orca Journal, The Globe and Mail, Electric Literature, Metastellar, Parabnormal Magazine, Daily Science Fiction, and lots of other small platforms.
Mark's book blogs are on his Goodreads Author's page. Take a look, for short essays on Classic mystery, Sci Fi, Horror, and burnt-out hippy Lit.
PS Searching For Slutfest IV may sound like porn, but it isn't, it's a mock-noir detective novel, and a prequel to Next to Ewe.
